Support for people who use drugs: Virtual Resource Fair for Middletown, DE
Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 – 7pm via Zoom; Uploaded online afterwards
“My daughter overdosed on heroin last week but is still using… where can I get Narcan to save her if she overdoses again?”
“Where can my friend get clean needles?”
“How can I get rid of my unused painkillers?”
“What options are there for people arrested for possession of drugs?”
“Where can I get a Suboxone prescription?”
In this Virtual Resource Fair we will answer these questions and more, sharing resources right in Middletown, Delaware. We will focus on local Harm Reduction options like a Syringe Services Program, Fentanyl test strip distribution, and Medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorder. We will also share information about Sobriety-Supporting resources like NA, rehabilitation centers, and the Hero Help Program. We will end with a moderated Q&A.
This event is for people who use drugs as well as people who work with, support, and love them including –but not limited to– family members, friends, medical doctors, pharmacists, police officers, school administrators, pastors, and social service provides.
This event is a collaboration between Church on Main, Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Southern New Castle County Communities Coalition: SN4C, and the Middletown Police Department.
There will be automated closed captioning as well as a recording uploaded after the meeting.
