Church on Main is a welcoming community of people with diverse backgrounds. We are intentionally inclusive as we try to model the radical hospitality and compassion of Christ. We gather each Sunday to socialize and have refreshments at 9:30 AM and begin worship service at 10:10 AM. In our worship we sing, give thanks to God, pray for those in need, hear the scriptures read, listen and respond to a message or sermon, celebrate holy communion, and share the peace of Christ.
Our faith is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, but we are open to the views of all faiths seeking peace and harmony.
We believe in making the world a better place for all people and actively support mission projects in the MOT area and around the world. We are connected to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
We support local ministries including:
- Friendship House, a Wilmington-based non-profit organization, that serves the homeless, displaced and those who need a life plan.
- Our Daily Bread
- Community Yoga
- Neighborhood House in Middletown
Please join us for worship as we seek to be enlightened by the Spirit and inspired in how to use our gifts to grow God’s love, hope, joy, justice and peace for all.
Our facilities are shared with the MOT community:
Town tower added in 1882.
Clock, with a bell that strikes every hour, was added in 1906 and it has been maintained by Town of Middletown for over 100 years.
8 stained glass windows were restored in 2000 with the community support. These windows enhance the beauty of the sanctuary.
Church parking lot (19 spaces) is available to the community and provides a lot of support for special Middletown events (Music on Main, parades, Everett Theatre, etc.).
Please join us for worship as we seek to be enlightened by the Spirit and inspired in how to use our gifts to grow God’s love, hope, joy, justice and peace for all.
